Below you will find policies and requirements for all presenters participating in the Annual Meeting and Pre-meeting events. We thank you for your time and commitment.
Disclosures
The OTA is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). We appreciate your help in partnering with us to follow accreditation guidelines and help us create high-quality education that is independent of industry influence. In order to participate as a person who will be able to control the educational content of this accredited CE activity, we ask that you disclose all financial relationships with any ineligible companies that you have had over the past 24 months. We define ineligible companies as those whose primary business is producing, marketing, selling, re-selling, or distributing healthcare products used by or on patients.
All disclosures for the 2024 OTA Annual Meeting must be dated October 17, 2023 or later. Any disclosures made prior to this date will not be valid. Disclosure should include all financial relationships with any ineligible companies that you have had over the past 24 months, including those that may have been terminated (you can indicate if those relationships have ended). All disclosures will be collected through our Abstract Submission Site. Please contact OTA via email if your disclosure has changed since your submission.
For more details on our full disclosure policy, please review here:
https://ota.org/disclosuresPlease note: The identification of relevant financial relationships does not necessarily mean that you are unable to participate in the planning and implementation of this educational activity. Rather, the accreditation standards require that relevant financial relationships are mitigated before you assume your role in this activity.
The OTA also requires planners, faculty, moderators, and authors to disclose when off-label/unapproved uses of a product are discussed in a CME activity or included in related materials.
Forms
All presenters, moderators and faculty must have a completed speaker agreements and license agreements form on file with the OTA for EACH program they are participating in. These forms are included in the online abstract management system and required at the time of acceptance.
All faculty presenting at the podium must include a disclosure slide using the OTA Disclosure Slide Template for each of their presentations. The disclosure slide should be displayed for a minimum of 3 seconds and immediately follow the title slide.
